I've been having a problem with my jailbroken iPod lately. I never use my iPod and today I decided that I should unjailbreak it and just use it to talk to people on AIM. I turned on my iPod, and the Apple logo comes up. I think this means I have to start up the iPod with the software I used to jailbreak it with because it's an untethered jailbreak. I forgot what I used to jailbreak it with, so I can't start it up that way. When I go to restore it in iTunes it starts to download the new software, then when it starts to install it gives me an error and says that it can not be restored at this time, or something similar to that.

I don't know much about iPods or jailbreaking, and if I made any typos or said something that made no sense, it's because I haven't been to sleep in 24+ hours.

its actually a tethered jailbreak if you have to rejailbreak every time to re-boot.

you can try:

close itunes

unplug ipod from dock

Turn ipod off

connect ipod while holding the home button

should show the connect to itunes on screen then you can let go.

restore your ipod!

that's it

Yeah I know right. He is posting this in all the other posts where people are asking for help with problems on their iDevices. The best and easiest way to fix this is by DFU Restoring it.
