try inserting a different disc and going online on that, then try cod4 again,
please reply with answers with all of the above, (it may help alot)

i trid differnt controller and still did it i tried campain and splitscreen still does it
and i remember a way of recovring it so it take about ten minutes using modio

recover it any way you can

did you try clearing your cache?
