I have been worried if I would get banned by Xbox Live for using a modded controller and after a long time of searching I found this podcast of Larry Hryb (Major Nelson) talking to Stephen Toulouse about how they won't take action of banning anyone with a mod and they leave it up to the creators of the game to take charge. This should help a lot of you now if you are worried because it helped me.

Modded controllers or mods in general? I've been using a modded controller for over a year, nothing yet. I have a stealth one too, so nothing bad can happen. It is undetectable and has no extra buttons added to it. Mods in general, I hope not, I want to get a good use out of my JTAG still.

well this gave me relief because i have been seconed guessing buying one for 4 months
