DewkyHD wrotethat's no problem at all. just stick in the installation disc and it will put that shiny os directly onto your hard drive. stick in the install disc and depending on your motherboard at the bottom it will list commands. press the one that takes you to the boot menu and select the cd drive one. it will put a load bar saying windows is loading files and that's how you know you've done it correctly. hope this helps!1yoyo105 wrote what do you mean by server? i have built a lot of computers and never found myself with this problem.

Well by default it should try booting and telling you there is no bootable median, if not then you have no bios. So just put your windows 7 disc in, then bootup and it should try to boot the disc; you should here it spinning, if not turn off your computer, turn it back on, and rapidly start pressing esc I believe, then it should take you to bios. Then go to boot order and make sure your dvd/drive e is selected as first. Then do a reboot and do the installation of windows.
