Is it Hex editing still possible for CoD4?Posted:

Recently I have been trying to hack CoD4 by editing my profile in a hex editor (motd changing, colored custom classes, god mode button binding, etc). However, every time I try to put my profile back onto my Xbox, it says my profile is corrupt.
Here are the steps I take:
1. Transfer my profile to my USB drive.
2. Open it up on my PC via USB Xtaf Xplorer
3. Extract my profile
3. Open my profile in HxD
4. Make my changes
5. Hash Block Calculate the edited profile via Xbox 360 Hash Block Calculator
6. Go back into USB Xtaf Xplorer and delete my original profile and inject the edited one.
7. Safely remove my USB drive
8. Plug my USB drive into my Xbox and transfer the edited, and now corrupted, profile onto the Xbox.
Am I doing it wrong, or has this method been patched?

no m8 modding with usb or hard drives are patched since the new update a few months ago... sorry m8

yeah man u have to rehash and resign it before putting it back on but 4 cod4 i think it only works in split screen/system links without any updates
