Can you please do these three things for all the hard work i put in this.
1. thank the topic
2.vote yes on the poll
3. leave a positive comment
It all started when Die Glocke, or The Bell, was made by the Nazis, reverse engineered from some sort of alien ship with crazy advanced technology on it. The Nazis took it to a location only known as Der Riese. Out of curiosity, a super top-secret group was formed, Group 935, to experiment and find out what this hunk of metal could actually do. Well, they took it apart, analyzed all of the components and stuff, and realized that the pieces were still functional, but needed a power source.
In the Nacht Der Untoten loading screen, you see a man from the 40's walk through a spiraling object (blackhole) and go back in time, giving the old Nazi-future-allies information and technology from the future, in the past, causing an alternate reality where the CCCP and the Nazis in the 40's and 50's are super advanced allowing them to create all these weapons with the technology they found from the Bell. Now, since they are so advanced, it was obvious that they needed a source of 115 to power all this stuff, and that is where the moon comes in. Now, if they were so advanced, why did their plan of total world domination fail? That is where our heroes come in.
If you listen to Richtofen in a Shi No Numa radio, he says that the wonderwaffe caused an over-dose of power BACKTRACKING them to the FUTURE. What? This is how they managed to get to the alternate-reality future and where they can now travel backwards in time in the alternate-reality past where the Russian scientist guy gave them advanced stuff, not the real reality where everything went normal, do you see where I'm getting at? This whole story centers along that one guy going back in time creating a whole new reality of advanced super powers. I bet the zombie story ends when the team goes to the place where the guy went back in time, stopped him from time traveling, and created a paradox where that reality no longer existed, so they traveled back to the REAL reality where everything is real-life today. WOW THAT WAS A MOUTHFUL. I know this is EXTREMELY confusing, but if you guys do somehow understand this, please explain it better than I did.
Dr. Maxis and his scientist team, Group 935, were tasked with creating an army of super soldiers and new technology for the government project christened "Der Riese" or "The Giant". In his experiments, Maxis used Element 115 to create the zombies. The zombies, however, couldn't be controlled and would always be killed when they went berserk. While this was going on, Richtofen was testing 115 on living test subjects to create his super soldiers at a Siberian facility. In his experiments, Richtofen used Takeo, Nikolai, and an unknown Mexican. When Richtofen accidentally killed the Mexican, he replaced him with Dempsey. Dempsey had recently been captured when he led a Marine Recon team to an abandoned asylum to rescue Dr. Peter McCain, an OSS spy sent to infiltrate Group 935. Peter, however, had already been discovered, along with Harvey Yena. The testing affected each of the subjects' minds, making Dempsey extremely aggressive, quieting Takeo into only reciting Japanese proverbs, and making Nikolai functionless without vodka. It erased their memories, and Richtofen also did testing on Samantha behind her father's back.
The new weapons Group 935 created were also powered by 115. Maxis created the Ray Gun based on plans received from Shi No Numa. Richtofen created the Wunderwaffe DG-2 from 115 and the Monkey Bomb. Maxis promised to mass-produce the DG-2 to his superiors, but his growing infatuation with Sophia slowed his progress and infuriated Richtofen, who then plotted to overthrow him and take control of Group 935.
Maxis also created 115-powered teleporters, but they would always destroy anything sent through them. All of these experiments were done with his assistant, Dr. Richtofen. When he used his daughter Samantha's dog, Fluffy, as a teleporter test subject, he accidentally created the first hellhound. The dog was teleported, but instead of being destroyed like the past test subjects, she was zombified. When Samantha came running in and started questioning her dad about her dog, Richtofen left the room. Richtofen then followed through with his previously-planned betrayal by locking Maxis and his daughter in the room with the hellhound, which apparently killed Maxis and Samantha. Richtofen then proceeded to cover up his betrayal and unleashed the zombies.
Aether is a whole dimension in between life and death. Samantha, Dr. Maxis, and the new Doctor from Ascension, Gersche, are all stuck in here. Maxis's location is currently unknown, but Gersche is known to be in Ascension, and to have contacted the team trying to get them to help him, thus making the Mystery Man easter egg. This easter egg has more importance that you think. When you free him, he rises up into space, or maybe to the possible Aether gateway on the moon.

Richtofen then took his super-soldiers from the Siberian facility to Shi No Numa, apparently to pick up element 115 from a meteor that had landed there and to get the Wunderwaffe DG-2. After this was done, the group went to Der Riese, which had been abandoned since the zombie takeover. The group used the Wunderwaffe DG-2's 115 to overcharge the Teleporter, making it capable of time travel. Richtofen was apparently unaware of this possibility until he tried it. He seems unconcerned that he and his partners have been teleported to an abandoned theater in Germany in an unknown year. Although he didn't know what year it was, Richtofen knew about the theater as it was the place Maxis would unveil the Teleporter to the German high command. Since Maxis was killed, the theater was abandoned.
Sometime prior to Ascension, Yuri Kravcheski was transferred to work on sending monkeys into space, much to his dismay. His transfer was caused by his superior, Gersch, who he holds a grudge against. As the radio messages progress, Yuri notices the teddy bear and the Matryoshka dolls and wonders how a child could be let into the station. A child then slowly drives Yuri insane. Yuri, in his state of insanity, finishes the Gersch Device and has Gersch activate it, letting in the zombies and seemingly killing Gersch. Yuri soon realizes his mistake and is heard screaming at the end of the last recording.
The Illuminati. They are the definition of evil. They are one of the world's most secret organizations, yet they hide in plain sight. They are literally EVERYWHERE. They are Nazis, dictators, and world leaders. They have connections all around the world. They also have big plans. Their plans are simple: TOTAL WORLD DOMINATION. Slowly but surely, they would start conflicts and secretly make wars between countries, interfering and causing countries to attack themselves. The cold war is where they really started showing their power. The pyramid with the Masonic Eye at the top is their symbol. Where have you seen that? On the back of the one dollar bill. They are truly masters of disguise. Anyways, in the Zombie world, they had connections to Group 935, and one of them was Richtofen. Did they make Richtofen kill Maxis? Possibly. Maybe they thought that at the rate he was going, he would be more powerful than him. Maybe they needed him out of the way. Who knows? The role that the Illuminati play in Nazi Zombies is very discrete, so not much information is given at this time. All we can say is that they definitely play a huge role in the storyline.
After the events of Kino der Toten, the main characters somehow reach the abandoned Soviet launch pad in Ascension, possibly by overcharging the Teleporter again, with the 115 meteor fragments found in the theater. When the game starts, the four are landing in the starting room on the lunar lander as the color turns to black and white (which the characters acknowledge). The characters then hear Gersch, who tells them that the mechanism must be repaired. He is referring to the Kassimir Mechanism, which must be repaired by completing different tasks. After all of the tasks are completed and the mechanism is repaired, Gersch is free and gives the characters 90-second death machines.
While the events of Ascension are occurring in Russia, the events of "Five" are also unfolding in the Pentagon. A piece of Intel reveals that all Wunderwaffe materials were to be moved to American-controlled installations. As a mainframe is visible behind one of the windows in "Five", it is apparent that it was moved there as per this order. The Pentagon Thief was a scientist who took Soviet brainwashing technology and traveled back in time with a Teleporter and attempted to control the Zombies. This plan backfired somehow, leaving the scientist zombified and the Pentagon open to attack. While John F. Kennedy, Robert McNamara, Fidel Castro, and Richard Nixon are negotiating, zombies break into the Pentagon with only the four of them left to fight them. While fighting, they call the characters in Ascension using three red telephones spread across the Pentagon.
The Pentagon Thief Identity
The Pentagon Thief is very mysterious. There are 3 possible answers to who he is. The first possible answer, but least probable, is that he is stuck in the Aether, and is getting out threw the teleporters somehow. This is probably not the case. The second possible answer is that he is actually some sort of 115-super-powered human guy that is being brainwashed and controlled by someone else. You can tell because the glasses he is wearing are lit up and have a little radio antenna on the top of them. The third, and most probable, possible answer is that he is a clone of Dr. Clarke from the campaign. You can tell because in the terminal, it says that Clarke was not only obsessed with numbers, but also with the idea of cloning. In the campaign, you can also see numbers written all along his body. In "FIVE" you can see that the scientist also has numbers written all over his body. This pretty much confirms that the Pentagon Thief is a clone of Clarke, how? I have no clue, but I have a feeling we will find out soon enough...
As they continue fighting, the three super-soldier test subjects slowly regain their memories. Takeo is the first to remember, and remarks to himself that some day when the group is finished fighting zombies Richtofen will get what he deserves. He also shows his observations of the other two. He believes Nikolai drinks vodka because he wishes to forget the past and can't function when he remembers it, perhaps meaning Nikolai is beyond hope. Tank, on the other hand, is slowly making progress, as he remembers that he'd seen Richtofen before the fight at Shi No Numa. Takeo notes his shifting memories and believes Tank is finally remembering what Richtofen did.
Sometime in the present, George A. Romero stumbled upon Group 935's research while making a WWII film. He and the cast took a ship out to an abandoned lab in Siberia. After he and the ship's crew were zombified, only the cast, made up of Sarah Michelle Gellar, Robert Englund, Danny Trejo, and Michael Rooker, remained. This set the stage for Call of the Dead. After the Kassimir Mechanism was completed in Ascension, it overloaded the teleporter and sent the original characters to a Group 935 facility in Siberia, where they were trapped behind a locked door. The celebrities then helped them escape to Paradise. Escaping wasn't Richtofen's only goal, however, as he meant to travel to the Siberan facility to obtain the Golden Rod, which the celebrities found for him without knowing any better. In reality, the group could've escaped after the MDT security system was disabled. It is unknown what became of the celebrities after helping the group escape.
Shangri-La, however, does not live up to its namesake, as its inhabitants have all been zombified before the group's arrival. Richtofen states that this is the last step to controlling the world before he is teleported there. The temple houses a mining facility filled with Element 115, explaining the inhabitants' zombification. Prior to the group's arrival, two explorers, Brock and Gary went on an expedition to prove their theories on Argatha. Brock later learns that the temple wasn't built by an ancient civilization, but by people in the modern era interpreting it. After investigating the temple, the pair accidentally traveled back in time, as signaled by the sudden eclipse. Gary is killed by the zombies while Brock is trapped and slowly dies. The group travels back in time and helps the pair survive by saving them from the temple's various traps. The pair's changing fate is illustrated by the radio that changes message and location as the group helps them. In the first message, Brock states that the radio is out of battery after he finishes recording, but as the pair's fate changes so does their last message. Also changing in the present are focusing crystals that materialize on various temple structures. The final step to freeing the pair has the group using a Pack-a-Punched 31-79 JGb215 and shooting at one of the focusing crystals, reflecting off of each one until it gains the strength to shrink down the gigantic Element 115 meteor that landed on top of the temple, creating the Focusing Stone, which subsequently lands on an altar that has Richtofen's name written on it, meaning the temple was in fact another Group 935 facility. Now with both the Golden Rod and the Focusing Stone in hand, Richtofen claims that everything is going to plan.
Agartha. A mythical city at the center of the Earth inhabited by "super-beings" who use extremely advanced technology and are much more sophisticated/developed than humans. Brock from the Shangri-La easter egg dedicated his life to trying to find Agartha. No one believed him, and everyone thought he was crazy, but he still had hope, and finally found Shangri-La. Take a look at this quote said by Brock:
Brock: The heat and humidity is just excruciating. According to the locals, the temple should be in this mountain range just up this river. Gary, do you hear that? A waterfall. We must be close. Hand me the binoculars. There is a structure up ahead. If this is truly a gateway to Agartha, my work will finally be validated.
Why is Shangri-La so important in his quest to find Agartha? Well, there are many "gateways" to Agartha. Shangri-La is one of them. This is why he didn't want to leave the temple when Gary was telling him that they should get out of there. He was obsessed, and, explained up top, his obsession was also his downfall.
Brock and Gary were on to something big. Is the "Shrink Ray" from Agartha? And more importantly, if it is, why is it in the possession of the gang? So many questions, so may unfulfilled answers.... The zombie storyline is NOT ending with Black Ops, I can tell you that much....

About the Call of the Dead setting, you said that George A. Romero took the cast to find out about 115 in Siberia when they actually went there to film the zombie movie Call of the Dead, named because of George Romero's film history. You are right that George went there because of the WWII film as it says if you end the game on COTD on solo or splitscreen that he found the documents. But he just got the idea for his next zombie fil, not to see what was going down there.

Nice post, keep it up. Hopefully this wasn't a copy and paste because if it isn't it deserves a sticky! I think once treyarch is done with zombies they should make a movie, that would be awesome,
