I am thinking about upgrading my RAM from 4GB to 8GB.
Is it worth it or would i just be wasting my money?

Thanks!

Well ram is useful, but 8 is a bit extensive, 6 would probably be ideal. Since ram is just space in which it stores data at a certain time, but if your not running a lot of applications at once then 8 would be a little to much, but if you have extra money why not. Also as a little tip, make sure your ram is compatible with your motherboard.

It depends what you do?

8 gigs will only benefit you if you're going to be doing heavy editing / renderin..etc.

I use 4 myself and have never capped it.

depends what you do on our computer. if you arent capping your limit, getting more wont increase your performance.
