I'm trying to bring back an old Xbox from the dead. The Xbox has been sitting on my dresser for the past 2 and half years collecting dust basically. It used to work perfectly other than the fact that it would scratch my discs. I never bothered to get it fixed I just bought a new Xbox. I went to test it today to find out it has more problems. Originally it just kept freezing on start up usually around the same time. Eventually the thing stopped loading and the red rings showed. I got the General Hardware Failure rings. I researched my exact problem and apparently it is a ram error caused by a cold or bridged solder joint on one of the Ram chips. Does anyone know how to fix it? Is a usual side effect of this the Xbox freezing?

Do you guys think it may be dust related? It has collected dust over the time it was out of commission. I noticed it worked for a longer amount of time before it froze when I blew into the holes.
