is there a way to do that? i jailbroke my ipod touch 2nd gen on 4.2.1 and cydia wont load. is there a way to un-jailbreak it with out restoring? please post here if you know how with links, tuts, anything.

No sorry buddy. The only way to unjailbreak it is by restoring.

Think it takes long for it to restore with iTunes? Try restoring the phone to factory settings within the Settings App. That takes DAYS!
But I'm in the same boat as you, wish there was a way to un-jailbreak without restoring. It would be nice:)
