recently my wired mic has not been working correctly. It lets me hear other peoples voices and it shows the logo in an party that my mic is plugged in but does hear my voice, so i took of the bit nexto the ear and it is still connected, Any suggestions to get this to work without phoning xbox c.s?

there is a "cut" wire inside the headset, this happens to most headsets around 3 months old +.
The only thing you can do, unless you have a solder and new motherboard for your controller is buy a new headset, if this is too technological for you, i am sorry, this was the easiest way for me to explain it
