I Believe in God, just not Christian god. My reason is that the bible has bits from EVERY bible from different religions and the myans etc. So yeah.

Take this into perspective, the bible had many many authors, all spaced out over hundreds of years.
All of them relating the same thing and concepts...and in that time period there wasn't a very efficient way for new or information to travel except for word of mouth, and that can die out rather quickly.
So how exactly did so many people from around the world know about the same thing, person and concept?

I could make an epic story about how one of my burps started the universe. This story could travel all around the world, but that doesn't make it true, does it?

I believe that there was once was a man named Jesus who everyone though to the messiah (even though he was not). One person wrote about this man and if anyone else was to write about it him, it would have to agree with that first story as they were never alive to experience Jesus, correct? They could not change the stories drastically as they all derived from one writer. Therefore, the story remains constant throughout the Bible.

How did it spread so quickly? Word of mouth, that's how (it obviously didn't die out, as you mentioned it may have). Back then, there was no technology, there was no airplanes or any other form of quick transportation. If someone wanted to get somewhere, they'd have to travel by foot (or animal, concept remains) and along the way, the stories were shared. The fact that it went widespread quickly doesn't verify any legitimacy.

I completely agree with this , if you beleive in jesus christ , then you are saying all other religions are wrong , well all other religions are all the same. People are willing to die for their religion . I myelf do not beleive in god or any of that crap. if i went backin time and started telling everyone that the universe was created by a magical fart. some idiots would beleive me , and that is how this is. I do though beleive their is some sort of afterlife , their are so many questions about life and the universe that are un answered , why couldnt their be an afterlife? whos to say.

Im like 50/50 i sorta believe then i don't believe that there is god.
