Hi guys and girls. I'm kind of new to the world of online gaming. I play a lot of games offline and I love FPS games although I'm not very good at them. I just got myself xbox live gold and played a bit of black ops online and I couldn't kill anyone Yes I'm actually that bad!! I finished the campaign mode on normal difficulty without any problems so I thought I'm ready for online but I suppose I was wrong.

Do Combat Training on Hard difficulty, get your skills up then go online

I thought that back when I first bought my Xbox and MW2. But i just kept through all the noob tubes and got better. But its MW2, you can't really be good at it.

Just keep playing in online games, practice loads and you'll get better.
Don't do Combat Training on the hardest difficulty, it's near impossible, it's like playing with a whole team of hackers with aimbots.

I just don't understand how people can be so good!! Is it a bad idea to lock onto your target? It seems that every time I'm doing it, the other person just kills me in an instant.

Also what's the best online mode to practice in? I was playing free for all. Sorry for being such a noob xx

Yeah, it's all about reaction times, basically whenever you see an enemy, start shooting then aim at the same time, don't bother trying to aim first otherwise you'll just get killed. That's what I did at first anyways.

Team Deathmatch is the easiest mode to play in my opinion and the most popular. You can try other's but i'd recommend Team Deathmatch as a beginner.

Also, if you take a break and then come back to play Black Ops, don't hop straight into a game, but go on combat training on say regular difficulty, and just have a little warm-up game. Hope this helps!
