fire__30 wroteNot all consoles on 7379 can be Jtagged can be Jtagged without bricking the console, some can be,some cannot, simple as that.
I am not sure how to distinguish between an exploitable one and an non-exploitable one,or if there is even a way,so don't ask me.
you can check by opening the nand in degraded and checking the cb version
Also you can also change the fan speeds in the nand. It is a little bit faster than FSD, from what i have seen and heard lol
I know,I've made a huge long post about it in the tech discussion.

Just a little note. The link to Icy-Tanks shop is closed. He has a new stickied thread that he updates when he gets consoles in stock.
Just thought i should let you know.

This is a briliant guide and a briliant post! thank you very much! this clarified everything up for me ! very helpful, but the UK seller's post JTAG GALLORE has been moved, and i definetly only want to buy (if i buy) a JTAG from a trusted seller, i would actually LOVE having a jtagged xbox, to bad you cant host lobbies and go online anymore anyway i think this definetly deserves a THANK and +REP!

you don't need an external, and a ms hdd... you can just put the external hdd in the normal hdd's case, adn the jtag will just format all of it to fat32.
