Before I start off my rant I want to make sure that everyone knows I am not pointing this at anyone directly, I am just stating this for the majority of the community. Now you are probably thinking what number? How can you even ask that? I'm talking about the number that 75% of this community cares about too much. That number is rep and post count. I believe the current reputation system is encouraging useless spam and it causes a lot of tension in this community. 25 posts = 1 rep power.

Now from my perspective it looks like the majority of this community range from the age of 11-14,which is bad. Don't get me wrong, there are some mature people on this site and I thank you for that. But the immature kids on this site care way to much about their rep and that is why it causes spam. They spam by posting their support questions 4 different times because they are getting no replies. They usually don't get any replies because 50% of this community has no knowledge at all when it comes to the Xbox community. All they do is leech, and care about becoming well known.

Now it seems like most people think they are well known because they have a high amount of rep and posts. I would have to disagree 100%. I have been on this site for a year now (Not active posting, but have had several accounts that I always lose info to) and I have seen members with 3,000 posts and 100 rep and I have never heard or seen them ever before.

It seems like the easiest way for them to spam is to go on hard working modders posts or people who actually do contribute to this community and say "Nice work bro, keep it up" or "Nice dude 2020202020",those are the members that give this community a bad name.

I also believe that members should have to apply for a position in order to - rep people.
But why? Because it seems that since so many people care about their beloved rep they tend to get butthurt whenever somebody -reps them. That causes them to get angry and abuse their reputation privileges and they start flaming everyone. Next thing you know, their IP Banned and going on another community saying how bad TTG is and giving it a bad name.

Another thing TTG should do IMO is add to the rules that you cannot ask for rep in anyway.
Some examples are..."Rep is always appreciated" (Not necessarily asking, but you get the idea when they say that) or "Rep always helps". Now explain to me how rep always helps.

Rep is supposed to be used to show how much a community member contributes, how he can help, and how he helps toward the community. How is spamming 25 posts helping the community? I believe that if the old rep system was put back into place TTG would be that community I loved last year. Thoughts?

Exactly and the funny thing is they don't know shit so they end up embarrassing themselves when they are wrong.

This makes sense. Jared is 110%. TTG is mostly inadequate kids attempting to get known and they spam. I am on Se7enSins a lot more than TTG (staff member on 7s) and I must say, Se7ensins has a much nicer community than TTG. Everytime I see the "Introduce yourself" forum, I ALWAYS see someone from TTG saying:

"I got IP banned for spamming 1 post. I like Se7ensins." Or something along the lines. That also tells me and TTG you guys gotta stop being so damn ego-minded and start treating your members more friendly. Because by the looks of it, members here are scared that if they fart then they will get IP banned.

Look, I am not interpreting saying how bad TTG is, I am just pointing out what the community is like according to members that have been recently IP banned/moved to Se7enSins from here/etc..

Exactly, when you do that stuff it makes you look like a spammer and that leaves a negative look on you towards members.
