I got an iso,got it hotswapped. Now i cant connect to one of my friends if had someone else host could i still bring up the mod menu for them?

Nope- becasue you hotswapped this doesnt make them not connect

Both of you go to dashboard and test xbox live connection the sign back in.
This refreshes ports/gateways
