i think the only way they can tell is by checks since the non retail versions wont pass the checks , since back one week ago nobody really knew which checks they would use on the game, but i think they should reset the whole thing, even if it was legit

What checks? There are no checks. Someone got the retail version and put it up online for people to download. The pirated copies are the exact same as the retail versions. There is no difference in them unless you got the version without the stealth files.

I mean, as stated in earlier posts, people are already prestiged, that's not exactly the most fair way to launch a game

I mean, do you guys think they all should be reset, or just the pirated, i mean ima join a game and be surrounded by 40+ pplz and me being the level 1, and then get owned by everyone

Personally I think all should be reset. However if a shop sold you or dispatched to you the game early, is that your fault? no. so you shouldn't have to suffer by losing your rank, it is not iw's fault, it is the stores who sold copies early fault that people will be a higher rank. It don't really bother me coz 99% of people will be starting on 10/11/09 so it is pretty fair

I think that all gameplay should officially start counting at the official time of release. I dont care if you got it early legit or pirated you still should be reset and have the playing field equal when you officially should have the game.

That being said it wont make a difference weather they reset it or not because there will be hundreds of thousands playing and you probably wont see one of those level 70s in 100 games.

Also the problem with that is different countries, eg, Australia release is 12 hours before uk, UK is 5 hours before America. So the best they could do is clear it 1 day before any release

Thats what they should do, but its not going to happen unfortunately, i mean i dont mind if someone is like 10 and i am , but a 45 vs a 1 is not fair

lol, just because they are higher lvl, doesn't make them better, just means they have played longer, I would happily go up against a lvl 45 if i was lvl 1 and i bet 9 times out of 10 i would beat them
