I want to make a 12v to 5v switch and I cant find an alternate 5v that I can always run off safely.
Mabe a DVD wire or somthing like the 12V mod?

I'm pretty sure the DVD to fan mod can wire up an alternate 5v-12v. Check out some youtube vids theyre usually made by experienced people. I've seen many on youtube and all are good allow me to find some links?
