Campaign Information

• After strict video analysis of the trailer released on May 18, 2010, experts say that the story will be about showing the thin line between good and evil. It is also believed that we will see a great deal of the stroy of the Vietnam War. Treyarch have also stated that the game will feature more stealth than previously seen before.

• Black Ops doesn't take place during just the Vietnam era, it spans a large time period in which you'll see the characters you play as age

• You play as a seargent bringing in the possibility to give orders to others.

• There has currently been two single player campaign mission leaked;

1.Weapons of Mass Destruction:- "It sees you controlling troops on the ground while you sit in the cockpit on the edge of space. The idea throughout the game is variety, fresh aspects of gameplay, that have never been seen before, not just your average FPS missions"

2.Slaughter House:- "in which critical intelligence must be retrieved from an MACV compound."

Locations

• Vietnam, Cuba, the Arctic, Laos and Russia have been confirmed as locations in the game, after trailer and screenshot analysis.

Co-op

• The game will have a cooperative mode for two to four players

• NO MORE DETAILS ANNOUNCED!

Multiplayer

•Not a single multi-player map was 100% converted from the single player campaign unlike WAW.

•Auto Aim is also back.

•Vehicles return, but they will be very different than those in Call of Duty: World at War.

•"Something new" about the prone position

•Create a Class 2.0 concept, will allow players to customize their appearance in addition to their loadout.

•There is going to be a "Barebones" playlist which removes things like perks, attachments, killstreaks, etc.

•Treyarch has hinted that a beta is likely.

•Matchmaking is being tweaked.

•Some campaign levels will be based off of multiplayer maps instead of the typical vice-versa." We realised that multiplayer, is what makes are series work, so instead of the typical campaign to multiplayer formula, we varied it"

•"Multiplayer is going to be very rich and deep. We’ve had a team working on multiplayer from day one, and it’s been huge. And so this time around we’re focusing on two main core pillars – socialization and customization. So the game will exist outside of the battlefield, so when you’re in the lobby and just chatting to your friends, or when you’re online or at work or whatever, the game exists in all these other areas, and we really want to cater to players who want to play with their friends or with a clan or create tournaments or leagues and they’re going to have tools and resources available to them to really focus on player socialisation"

•Host migration from MW2 will be included.

•Improved Server browser.

•PC version will have an anti-cheat program named Punkbuster.

•The customized killstreaks will return, but the game-ending Tactical Nuke will not. Kills earned from killstreak rewards will not count towards increasing a player's killstreak.

Sales Prediction

•Call of Duty: Black Ops has been predicted to sell 10 million copies in its first year on sale.
•"This is a very impressive display of strength," says Cowen and Company's Doug Creutz, who predicts 10.7 million sales in its first year.

Black Ops was originally predicted for a 29% sales slump in comparison to Modern Warfare 2 but that's now been reduced to 17%. Is the increasing hype starting to change minds and turn heads burnt out on the Call of Duty series?

Brand new info

•Dedicated servers have been basically confirmed for black ops, after a producer stated on his twitter feed:- "We wouldnt want to upset are fans after the popularity of them in previous titles" ... hmmm sounds promising guys , although with punkbuster also being used this could cause problems for users.
