Rep is gained through informative posts like my rep 44 every time you make a certain amount of posts you get rep and if you make a helpful post someone will give you rep.

Rep is something you earn!
you get 1 reputation power after you have 25 posts and you gain another after you have another 25 posts,
so every 25 posts you get 1 rep power,
where as, if people give you rep (which is earnt, some people can give more than others!)
if someone gives you 20 rep then you will need another 80 to get a reputation power, so when you get a total of 100 reputation points (from people giving you it) you get another reputation power!
you need reputation power to give rep!
if you have 5 reputation power you can give 1,2,3,4 or 5 rep towards that 100 rep for a reputation power,
to give rep , you find a post from the person you want to give rep to then at the bottom of their post, there are one or two flags, click the GREEN then there is a list of how much rep you want to give, click agree with the post and write a comment if you want!

Rep is your reputation
and you get 1 rep point every 25 posts I think it is and you can give rep or receive it from other members if you receive I think is it 100 rep points from other people you get 1 rep point
