Lulz he didn't shoot his face.. somewhere below the head, But in fact army didn't put gas on him! They put gas on yourself! and set on fire.. It was pretty interesting though. We gotta wait till the game come out, so we can play mission! Without spoiler!

Ghost was probably shot in shoulder or hip and passed out or something + Ghost once said in a beginnig of a mission "Why do we have to wear this fire proof vest?"

Only Roach was covered with gasoline not Ghost

And in the video of the reveal trailer, the soldier that appears in the dark, has the same position of standing like Ghost.

He got shot somewhere by his chest and only the guy you were got gasoline poured on him but Ghost was probably unconscious at the time being so he most likely died cause the fire might of spread to him while he unconscious. But he probably is gonna be a unlock able in Survival.

possiblely the game takes place after call of duty 4 but before mordern warfare 2. or the ghost perk haha

lets be honest, i bet that mission was just like online mw2, it still take 100 bullets to the head to get him killed, and according to mw2 if a barrel explodes next to me it will not kill me so haha

That pissed me off in mw2 when they killed him like they did. But would be kewl if they did bring him back.
