okay so I've been reading lots of posts online on how people can get banned from hot swapping copied/modded games onto their Xbox 360 hard drive.

After two days of research and question asking, I think that this is 100% possible. You see, I have been talking to my uncle who works for Xbox. I told him about this and at first he wasn't sure; HE TOLD ME ITS IMPOSSIBLE. well thats what everyone thinks.

Then he got a little bit more into it and found out that you can. He said that its not an instant ban, but its a flagging on the xbox 360 console.

How they would find this out you might ask??
Well when your hot swapping, the copied disk that you have placed into the disk drive, reads slower. This is detected by the disk drive and send error reports to microsoft.

Even after all of this, you might say oh well I'll just do it offline. WRONG! then when you play it off the hard drive online, microsoft does scans though each persons hard drive every now and then and if your caught with a different code_post_gfx. or a nazi zombie prototype from the MASTER COPY, your screwed.

What happens after is that you get flagged by people who have no life and moderate this shit. Then later on BOOM! when the next ban wave comes which is every year on NOVEMBER 10TH UR GETTING BANNED BUDDY!!

Before I found out about this, I hot swapped like crazy. But then since I found Out About This, I deleted all the codded games off my drive including gta4 and cod5.

:!: I would really recommend listening to my post and please be careful about what you do. Dont want over 1 MILLION PEOPLE banned like last years ban wave.

PLEASE LIKE MY POST AND GIVE ME REP IF THIS HELPED.
THANKS

well of course you can get banned.
But if you stick to stuff like zombies then there is a low chance of it...unless your friends report you, but then they really aren't your friends now are they?
