Can't I just get one from somewhere?
No you should not, because it will most likely be in use. Check your sim card that you used with the black berry, or check the sim tray that it uses.(If it uses one, I am not sure.) I am almost positive that you do not want your carrier to know about changing your IMEI, that is why you want to stick with the one you previously used.
Well I am getting a new SIM card on Orange anyway!
Thanks
Thats not going to work, sorry mate. I recommend selling the phone because putting a new sim card into a blacklisted, or blocked phone will just get you tracked by the police, or get you kicked off the phone carrier.
I would put my current SIM card in there, but, thats in my blackberry, And thats vodafone, how to I unlock it to any network?
You need to jailbreak, but even if you unlock you cannot use the phone as it is blacklisted, you need to change the IMEI which can get you into trouble. Have you tried contacting the person that sold it to you? I would just send it back to that person. Oh and if it is an iphone 4, you cannot change the IMEI.
What sort of trouble can I get into?
Changing your IMEI is illegal, in the US and the UK. I heard that you can get 5 years in prison, but that is if you steal phones and change their IMEIs for a living. My guess is that you might get a fine, and be kicked off your cell network. All I can say is your best bet is selling it to someone in another country, and buying another phone. The iphone 5 is coming out in a few months, and besides the 3gs gets kinda slow.( I still use one.)

Alright go for that then, I dont see why you needed to change the IMEI. Well I guess that would be your backup plan? (This is xToxiic by the way. I got my account back)
