Depends on what you want to do with the computer.
Mac; Good for school, less chance of getting virus's easy to use fast internet and more hard drive space.

PC; Can be used for "Fun" use most likely, Gaming, You can do more "Console Mods" Hacking programs come easier to use. But on the bad side it can get virus way easier then macs.

Maacs are good, but they are aloso expensive, just depends on your budget, i personally have 4 macs and love them all

If I had the choice of a PC or a Mac,

I'd get a PC.
Why?
(This is my personal opinion)
Has a better layout. Windows 7 is very easy to use.
I like the graphics. Very crystal clear.
