Think about it from my perspective, for all we know, the bible could have been a compilation of folk lore stories, maybe Jesus's works were over exaggerated and the people made him a pop culture icon. Take big foot and compare the countless stories with Jesus, there are both some very absurd ones. Who is to say Jesus wasn't some pop culture icon of that time?

i believe in God,but my family are not a religious family. We only go to church on Easter and Christmas Eve. I love God and Jesus, but I question Religion. I mean, every religion has their own beliefs, so i think every person should have their own beliefs, instead of their religion making their beliefs for them. Besides, Part of the reason my U.S. troops and my cousin in the air force are in afghanistan is because of religion.
