Ok, so i want to know if i call microsoft and ask them to transfer my xbox live membership to a new account can they do it as i no longer want my current account.

Nope you would need to buy membership on the new account or play on your old one until it expires.

I have heard that they can do it with Microsoft Points. (Don't know if it's true)

Yes this actually is true, but it requires a lot of phone time. I transferred 3 months and 560 points to my new account and changed the gamertag. I was on support for around 2 hours.

yes they can just say you put in on thee wrong account and there cancel it and let you use the code again. I hope I helped you.
