I don't think Rochtofen wants to stop the Zombie outbreak. He wants to take Samantha's place, and use it to "control the world, one person at a time."

My (condensed) theory, is that Samantha has also been to the future and seen this, and is trying to stop him.

what proof does he need what would going back that far in time benefit and why would they go to the moon and if you listen to any thing richtofen says when games start you would know that you cant control the date you travel to or year.
