Still believe in God? That alone would be enough for me to rethink my views.

Also, isn't the whole concept of God a bit... Well... Convenient? Wouldn't it be nice if there was someone/something looking out for us in the big scary universe of ours? Would you sleep better at night knowing you would go to a magical place upon death and that bad people will be banished to another? It is very easy to make someone believe when promised these things like forgiveness, salvation, guidance, etc. But it really is too good to be true. Churches make money by making you believe. Religion really is the perfect con, and it has worked for centuries on people looking for an excuse or a way out of their problems.

Long story short, religion is the crutch of humanity. It slows us down, and we no longer need it. Food for thought:

For thousands of years, people all over the earth have been convinced their religion is the right one and is reality. What makes ours any different? We look back and think the ancient Greeks were delusional in their polytheism. In a thousand years, people might look back on current beliefs and say the same thing.

Oh my god.. stop marking posts as unuseful just because they say they dont believe in god.. Thats not what its for. Its their opinion and just because your christian dont mark it unuseful..

I mark posts as useless when they do not give a reason, IE:

"i love god the bible says hes real"

Or when people back up claims using false or incorrect information. Someone just posted that Mary and Joseph were the first humans.

Although I certainly agree with him, I would also vote him down or disregard him. I would do the same for both sides of the argument. If you are not going to contribute, do not post. Especially on a topic like this.
