I thought that too, its just that it started happeneing after my dad tripped over my xbox lol. When he did the faceplate came off. And it wouldnt connect to my TV at first when it turned on so i unplugged everything, and plugged it all back in and it started working, but now constanlty freezes. And the 3 red rings is overheat isn't it? So why would my dad accidently kicking my xbox (it wasn't very hard) make it over heat? :

I would send it in to microsoft. Except then you wouldn't have an xbox to play. Microsoft takes a few weeks to return the xbox's. Not sure what to do, sounds wierd.

if the disk was in the xbox at the time
Then very well could be the disk
Check the disk for a ring
If so either get it cleaned at a local game store
Or it might be ****

Checked disc, its in perfect condition. Im getting desperate now lol. I took the face plate off completely. Im trying anything an everything now.

EDIT: was going well for a while. Then froze. Also after it froze i held XBOX button and it mae the noise. This is after it froze. WIERD.

Check if it does it with anyother disc then you wil kno if it is your xbox or not

lol i unplugged the mid section part of my power cord and plugged it back in, got the 3 red rings. Unplugged it from my xbox. plugged it back in and rings are gone. The red rings are so bullshit !

Sorry for double post but i need this bumped. Also i had it going for like 30 mins with no freeze. But now its back to same old freezing constantly
