Well its pretty simple, I'm considering getting rid of my 360 to pursue my career as a graphic artist, as easy as it sounds its not really easy at all. I have to sell all pertaining to my Xbox and then purchase a laptop under the $450 price range, it would be great to get some suggestions!

Yup. Plus, a laptop will do you no good. For 400$ you'll be lucky if you can find a descent dual core laptop.
Either save up and build desktop around the 2600k..or I don't know.

I've looked around plenty and have found plenty of nice laptops in the $450-600 price range, you both need to do a bit more looking. I'm not looking for a gaming laptop, something I can use to multitask and render quickly, I don't need a whole quadrofx ready workstation.

I never said you need a powerhouse. Did I? No.
PLEASE show me a laptop that is ~600$ that will run hyperthreading intensive programs and render without a hiccup.

Maybe its just me but you seem to be on the fast offensive quite a bit in this section, its comical.
I have no need to show you a laptop if you will continue to disprove certain aspects and specifications of the hardware, therefore I will provide no link.
I asked for others to SHOW me laptops, not for me to show others.
But lastly, if you are completely against my statement of there being many laptops out there that are quite good, please take a look around Best Buy or CompUSA, its quite easy.

I'm not being quick to judge..I just know you're not going to get anything worth while, especially when you're looking at laptops with your price range.
Okay? I can show you laptops that'll get the job done, but they are a bit out of your price range.
It's that easy? Huh. Okay. Then you're set, right?

You can't really find a good laptop for $450, A Netbook goes for around $400 new. So maybe you can try that?
Those are terribly slow though.
I'd suggest you to save your money and try to purchase a better computer

So if you are rendering and multitasking, it is obvious you will want:
- More Ram, around 8gb
- Fast CPU, the 2600k genreation suggested supports hyper-threading
- Large HDD, preferibly a SSD for quick access when rendering
with those in mind, this is all i could find, and it is over $450, and it doesn't have a SSD, nor a processor with hyper-threading support.

Conclusion: You would be better off with a desktop at that price range, but it would still be better to save up before purchasing one. Only buy a laptop if you need it for mobility, as you are basically paying twice as much for the same thing, and you can only upgrade ram on a laptop (unless you are some sort of genius with computers, but you are the one asking the questions on TTG, so I take it you aren't).
