Well I have had my PVR for about 7 months now and I moved into another state. As I am plugging in the cords to it, the blue power light starts flashing. I read up somewhere that the power cable usually goes bad or that the PVR itself has died. What a piece of crap. I never had a dazzle just 'go out' on me.
To anyone who is thinking about buying an HD PVR, remember this situation.
End of rant.

If I was to ever record, I would buy a shuttle, it goes into a PCI x8/16 port and records uncompressed quality. ;)
Edit:
You can only use it if you have a desktop. :/

By HD PVR, I'm guessing you mean the one by hauppauge? By the reviews I've heard from people they are one of the best, but i guess there is always flaws in something.

i am going to complain, it is a rant section. Having something for 7 months doesnt mean that you are to supposed to expect it to give out. I have used it during that time recording gameplay with my friends, it wasn't defective at all.
