I am Trying to help the Community with this post. It is just a Question Thread for Things you Don't Understand. Please Post if this Helped!Also Trying to get a Sticky For this! It is Straight Forward with all Questions Easily Answered! Helping me Accomplish this is a Big Part!



How do i join my friends worlds?


For some reason you cant join session in progress so to avoid that you must go to "join world" then click the x button and go to the friends tab but if they are not there it means your gamer zone is not the same to check what gamer zone they have go to their profile and look under the gamescore now to change it go to the dashboard then go to your profile click it and click the profile tab thing then click edit profile then click gamer zone and change it to the one with your friends.


How to use/delete Teleporters?


To use a teleporter you have to use plating and you build it up 4 and delete the middle two and if you dont have another teleporter it will be blue but once you build another one it will turn green to use it walk into it and press x to go the spawn and click b to go the other teleporter. To delete the green/blue stuff from the teleporters just delete both the plating and then leave and join back and it will be gone. Also if you leave your world and come back the teleporters don't work so you have to delete and replace one of the plating blocks. Another thing is you can only have one teleporter to go back and forth in your world.


Whats Spleef and How do you play?


To play spleef you have to build a platform out of canvas (the yellow, black, red, blue, and so on blocks) then you and all your friends get on the platform and turn on spleef if all of you have it. The point of the game is to be the last one standing and use the left trigger to delete the blocks below the other players. One problem that i had is i got the relic but it didnt show up so to fix this after getting it quit out of your world and then go to the dashboard and load up the game again and it will be there. (Thanks to mr e 333 for telling me this)


How do you use Workshop?


There is a little area on the main menu that says i need help so if you need anymore help then i will explain then go there. So what workshop is, is its an 8x8x8 area that you can build blocks in (not torches or water) and it shrinks it down to the size of one block. Now to build in it use your d pad to bring up the thing with the blocks and then click rt or lt and go to the one with blue blocks on all of them if you haven't used any yet and select one then start building in the workshop and it will save to that you will be able to have 64 of these custom blocks.


WHAT?!? i can't find my workshop?!


One reason is you didn't click yes when it popped up if you wanted to add a workshop, but if you did click yes the workshop is about 30 blocks below the top of your spawn in the middle of each side there is an entrance.


How do i name my workshop blocks?


To name the blocks you must to have a usb keyboard, but to name it you hit the left shift button and after you have finished building and it is selected as one of the custom blocks type setname (name) and it will work. One thing about this is if you leave the workshop and then come back in you cant name it but to get around it all you have to do is delete one of the blocks, place it, and type in the command i said earlier. (Thanks to morninafterkill how to do this)


I TNT'd my workshop, how do I fix it?


If you TNT your workshop, all you have to do is TNT or fill air the rest of the reinforcedwood blocks out, back out, rejoin and it will ask
if you'd like to add a workshop. Select yes.



How do you turn on Hunt mode?


To turn on hunt mode you have to have other people in your world then once they are in you world go to your relics and turn on the hunt mode relic. To play you must hunt everyone in the game before it gives you a new hunter.


What are diggers and how do i use them?


Diggers are basically things that will dig a block one by one. After you get the digger relic you have to use your LB and RB buttons to go to it so you can place it using LT or RT. If the digger is placed with LT it blows up after 60 seconds and if you click RT it will disappear and WILL NOT blow up after 60 seconds.


What do i do if i flooded my world with the water block?


If you placed a water block and it flooded your world all you have to do is find the block with the fountain coming out of it and delete it then leave and join back in and the water will be gone.


How to Vote Boost

Join The Persons world, Press Start and Go to this world is Awesome, Leave and do Until Desired Rank.


How to Play Hunt and Spleef

Get all the relics(15/15), and return to title. Dashboard and restart FortressCraft, your relics should be now there. For Hunt, it's like tag, with the tagger invisible. Spleef is a little different, you make a platform made out of canvas blocks(red, black, white, etc.). Then turn on spleef and start destroying blocks form underneath the enemy(it only destroys canvas blocks).


So if i find out anything else that people are struggling with on 1.09 i will update this.

CMD's

You will need: Fortress craft USB keyboard or Chatpad

How to use: Hit shift on keyboard/chat pad. Enter code. The codes are NOT caps sensitive.

Help:
Help - Displays commands

Clear text from CMD:
CLS - Clears command screen.

How to add water:
Addwater Iamnotafraid - adds water to highlighted spot, be careful with this one.

Spawn commands:

Spawn Cats - Just spawns matrix cube aka nothing.

Spawn Minecarthighdetailmetal - Spawns metal minecart, minecart doesn't do anything.

Spawn Minecarthighdetailwood - Spawns wood minecart, minecart doesn't do anything.

Spawn Verticaltorch - Spawns a normal looking torch but it only makes the torch noise no light is given off.

Spawn Electriclight - Spawns a electric light no light is given off but it is larger.

Spawn Trackstraight - Spawns straight minecart track, track does nothing.

Spawn Trackcorner - Spawns corner minecart track, track does nothing.

Spawn Destructoray - Spawns Ray gun relic you can't pick it up.

Spawn Freezeray - Spawns Freeze ray relic you can't pick it up.

Spawn Jetpack - Spawns Jetpack relic you can't pick it up.

Spawn Speedboots - Spawns Speed boots relic you can't pick it up.

Spawn SpringBoots - Spawns Spring boots relic you can't pick it up.

Spawn Waterboots - Spawns Water Walk relic you can't pick it up.

Spawn Nightvisiongoggles - Spawns Night Vision relic you can't pick it up.

History and Future of FortressCraft


The creator behind FortressCraft is known by his nickname of DJ Arcas. DJ Arcas is the lead coder and head of the project.

In early 2009, DJ Arcas got into a game called Dwarf Fortress. Whilst DJ arcas was playing Dwarf Fortress he Was inspired by it and thought how great ablock-building game would be with High-Definition graphics and an easy to use interface. After thinking about this idea he thought he would go ahead and give it a try, therefore he started coding a game from what he could imagine. However, the game's graphics would not run.

When one of the biggest indie games of all time released "MineCraft". DJ Arcas was impressed by the rendering system used and knew that if he could implement the rendering system MineCraft uses, he could create the game that would become FortressCraft.

Whilst surfing the Minecraft forums DJ Arcas could not help notice the fans asking for Minecraft to be released on Xbox and other fans stating that it would be impossible. DJ Arcas started to post on one of the forums stating that it was possible to have a block-building game on the Xbox, DJ Arcas proved them wrong by quickly using voxel rendering to make a block-building game on the Xbox, DJ Arcas then took an image of this game and posted back on the forum only to return to posts claiming that the image was fake. DJ Arcas then took it a step up by recording the game and posting it back on the forum and from that small game he quickly made he started working on it to make it even bigger into what would become FortressCraft.

The way the world is generated in FortressCraft is by allocating one world to your gamer-tag and is the kept the same no-matter how much you reset it. It is rumored that to collectively walk around the edge of the world will take you six-teen minutes whilst if you were to walk up and down each row it will take twenty-seven hours.

DJ Arcas started to self-promote himself whilst his friend contacted multiple sources on you tube, DJ Arcas got a partnership from one of the YouTube sources called Daniel Keem. Daniel Keem offered to take the head position of public relations for 30% of the project. From there Fortress craft's popularity took a massive boost.

FortressCraft is currently planned to have relics, building, mine carts, crafting and player versus player combat within multiple chapters, however, the games main ideas were mainly driven by the community. One of the most common request for FortressCraft was to make the game more like MineCraft, However, if this was to be carried out it could near the game to copyright infringement. DJ Arcas took a different path to MineCraft by changing the graphics to High-Definition and adding various bits-and-pieces to separate the two.

The release of FortressCraft left an everlasting example of how well an indie game can do in the marketplace. Fortress craft became the most downloaded game on the indie game marketplace with over 16,000 copies sold for one dollar and over 20,000 trials downloaded, for every 100 trials there was a purchase of 15, beating games like I Made A Game With Zombies In It. The statistics show the game has now sold over 300,000 and counting and has a conversion ratio of 83% The game was the second best selling game in Britain, third in the US and the best-selling game in the Canada for one day. The oncoming weeks after its release would see at least 3,000 copies sold a day.

Known bugs

- Sometimes you get a 'could not create an object because an object already exists' whoops (ONLY happens when you use Join Session in Progress/Invite friend?)
- Code 4 when you're a server. Related to joins/quits/votes/banhammer?
- Pressing "Y" while in hunt mode gives you accidentally the whole xbox
- Flickering radial menu
- Not possible to use the thermal imager? (unconfirmed)

-Not bugs

- Multiplayer doesn't work at all! (it does, but there's DEFINITELY some sort of joining bug)
- My world got wiped! (unless someone gives me a very accurate description)
- Anything to do with splitscreen - it does warn you! Splitscreen is NOT officially supported in 1.09!

PLEASE ensure you are running 1.09, and not 1.04. About 1% of people will end up with 2 games on their Xbox, one of each version. *This is Microsoft's fault*

As ever, I might delete your post to keep this tidy.

Issue : I BLEW UP MY WHOLE WORKSHOP

Solution :

1) What? Why would you do this? When you tidy your room, would you use TNT?
2) If you remove *ALL* of the workshop Reinforced Wood blocks, using TNT or Fill Air, then quit to title, then go back in, the game will ask if you want to replace it.


Issue : Joining a game in progress/accepting an invite causes a crash

Workaround :

1) Don't be in the game when the invite arrives (ie be in the dash) (unconfirmed)
2) Set your gamerzone to be the same as your friend's then use the normal server browser to join them


All bugs are aiming to be fixed for the next patch, which will be submitted Thursday with a little luck!
