its illegal to sell a modded console on ebay once its sold you will get banned

I bought one a year ago but nothing happened although it was my first time using eBay and I didn't know how to dispute or know if someone was scamming, etc. When I bought the jtag, it was supposed to come with everything, new, and lots of files. When it got here it had problems with nothing but the console and I lost $200 so now I am either selling it for $75 shipped or selling for parts!
