Here I will tell you how to fix your world if it has broken.
This happens when you have mods* installed then update, the reason is because when you update, those mods become outdated, and the system doesnt know what to do with these items, so it will just crash.
Ways to fix:
1.Use MCedit, you can delete the blocks/chests containing these items from the mods.
2. Downgrade* minecraft back to the previous version before the update, then get rid of said items.
*Mods as in mods that add new items/blocks
*How to downgrade:
Get a minecraft.jar of the version you want to downgrade to.Next, back up your saves by going to Start> Search %appdata%> Roaming> .minecraft> copy saves over to desktop
Next, delete your minecraft.jar, then replace it with the one you are using to downgrade. Start up minecraft, and click 'No' to the update.
