If you shoot at it with stinger or another launcher you'll see red sparks come from the back of it(flares),which destroy the missle.Now if the flares are already gone then you'll just down the ac130.

So both can run out of flares ?

personally i find the AC 130 better because it has 3 different weapons and kills very fast, also it is very hard to shoot down.

Kind of.The Ac130 has infinite amounts of flares.After the 1st 2 are gone then they reset after a little bit,but by that time it's time will be up,or will be shot down.

Chopper Gunner only has 1 set of flares.After that it's defenceless.

it all depends on your view

chopper gunner- can shoot continously, does some serious damage, moves around more, but it is easier to destroy

ac130- 50mm gun can take out large groups, 3 different guns to use, higher up so its harder to destroy...

i personally like chopper more

i like chopper gunner, one time i think i was spectating sum 1 w/ it and they were in it from a far distance out flying to the map area and he was capping ppl from far out on the way in, it was sick. Also, can the ac 130 take out any choppers like in the spec ops mission? that would be def. a beast move.

edit- come to think about it, i think it does the fly in on rust, cause its so small
