Is it illegal to own a jtag? because i got scammed and a detective is comming over today to talk to me about it and i want to tell him it was a jtag and not a regular xbox, but if me telling him it was a jtag would ruin my chances of getting it back, i wont....i know that pirating games and downloading other things with ur jtag is illegal but is just owning a jtag illegal?

no. jtags are not illegal. they are simply frowned apon by microsoft and the people who take the game to seriously. he can't do anything about it. you are safe. if it was a ISO then you'd be screwed because those are copyright infringed.
