yea u can just make live a livestream.com acct or justin.tv and you can and no you dont need to buy anything

you need av splittlers but that all u need to livestream

you dont need splitters if your Audio/video cord on your xbox has an HD and NonHD

Supplies:

* A television (of course)
* A computer/laptop (of course)
* Any console with component cables
* 3 A/V Y-splitters (Should be just a couple of dollars each)
* An A/V cord (Around $20-$30 CAD)
* An external capture device (Pinnacle Dazzle DVC 100 (~$100 CAD. Not an ideal capture device, but it is a good start if you're just beginning and don't want to spend too much money))


In this tutorial I'm just going to be setting up my Wii to be streamed live.

Physical set up:

* Step 1:
Plug your three A/V Y splitters into each slot of the DVC 100 (marked L, R, and Video). Don't worry about the slot for S-Video.
* Step 2:
Take the output from your system's component cables (The red white and yellow), and plug them into one of each of the Y splitters' inputs, making sure that red is connected to R, white is connected to L, and yellow is connected to Video.
* Step 3:
Take one end of your A/V cable, and connect the red, white, and yellow prongs to the same Y splitters as their respective colours. (So each splitter should be connected to two of the same colour, and then connected to the Dazzle).
* Step 4:
Take the other end of the A/V cable and plug it in to the television.
* Step 5:
Plug your Dazzle into a USB slot on your computer/laptop that you will be streaming from.


I know this is confusing, I will have pictures up soon, my camera's batteries are just dead right now.

Windows set up:

* Make sure your microphone is not turned off. If this is not clear enough (I know, Vista can be a bitch sometimes) I will include more detailed explanation later.


Procaster set up:

* Step 1:
Launch procaster and log-in to your livestream account if it prompts you, and choose which channel you want to stream to.
* Step 2:
On the main procaster window, choose the quality you believe your computer can handle. Making custom preferences can be beneficial, but typically, just choosing a quality from this window tends to lead to a more consistent frames per second. (Low quality giving you the greatest fps, obviously)
* Step 3:
In preferences, make sure that your audio device is set to Device Audio. This will use your microphone as your audio input. Unfortunately, the DVC 100 locks 3rd party programs from allowing it to use its audio features, so you will have to play the audio from your television and record it through your mic.

**There are work-arounds to this but as far as I can tell, they all involve buying more equipment to re-route the sound into a separate device.

* Step 4:
Back on the main window, set your sources as screen and webcam.
* Step 5:
Click Go Live. Choose your webcam as your source in the bottom panel. You should be good to go from here.


If you are having FPS problems:

* Close other applications. You don't need a browser open, because you can chat from procaster, and other programs like msn take up system resources which may lead to lag.
