The same thing happened to me when my xbox died.. I just bought a new one.. A lot less tress but you'll be paranoid about your xbox dying for a few days lol..

hey if you bought it in 2008 call them at 1-800-4my-xbox and tell them and if you bought in 2008 you still have warenty =]

May take up to a month to get it back but it cost nothing

i just bought a new one and mabey sometime soon i will send my broken one into microsoft and then i will have 2 xboxes and i will never be without ask for one for your birthday

Wow, why the hell is it going to cost you £100 ? My dad got the RROD, he rung them up and they told him all xboxs now have 3 years guarantee

I bought my xbox off a friend, and i'm out of warranty, they should make xboxs more reliable instead of making customers shedding out the equivalent of half another xbox!

Well, my friend gave me one that he said had the three red rings. I was gonna flash it. Turns out it had one ring so I couldn't fix it for free. So I read up on the internet how to get three red rings. So I wrapped it up in like 3 or 4 towels. Put a demo disc in it. An let it play until it turned off. Then I was gonna freeze it because that was supposed to give the three red rings, but before I froze it, I tried it out. IT WAS FIXED! So try that.
