Infinity Ward decided to remove all script compilation and instead decided to place all game scripts pre-compiled in memory and executed from there. This means that all the game scripts you see inside the FastFiles are only read, but not utilized. They are able to do this because the compiled game scripts are actually very tiny in comparison to storing the scripts in compressed/plain-text mode.


This means that to edit the game scripts, you will have to reverse engineer the game's engine and apply patches to the pre-compiled scripts. There is no other way around this unless someone can code a compiler for the game.

Also, note that the multiplayer game engine in TU7 is of course significantly different from the one in TU6 to accommodate the new style of execution.
