Everyone keeps on saying it's a Power Up, but in actuality, it's NOT.

Here's something form my post.

Now if you do go that part in the video, shown below.



You can see its rises from the ground, coming out and shooting 360 degrees, fully automatic.

It could be the effect of the Q.E.D. though also. Like after they threw it, it burrowed into the ground and then sprouted out in the form of a Ray Gun.

Hopefully this cleared up some confusion.

nice thought i agree on this because in another trailer you see him throw one then it goes on to another clip maybe that is what happens afterwards

In dead ops there is a ray gun drop where you pick it up and and just spray the ray gun until it runs out
