I currently have a pair of Turtle Beach x41's and my birthday is coming up soon and I'm thinking of upgrading my headsets to something better (and selling my x41's ofc)
This is what I've been thinking of getting:
Audio-Technica ATH-AD700 (good for gaming, not as much for general music)
Astro A40 MixAmp (to connect them etc...)
Zalman M1-Mic (clip-on mic since headset doesn't have mic)
I have based this on the fact the headset is better than the Sennheiser HD 555 for gaming and they are better than the Astro A40 Audio system (which is better than x41)
Who else agree this is a good choice or maybe the headset can be upgraded.

honestly i think its a good choice... i hate beaches because they are really cheap and mine tend to break easy :/ and run through 6 batteries a week lol. x1's were the only ones i ever liked.
but astros are epic
tritons arent too bad for their price either

Well my x41's seem fine, no errors ever. theyre pretty sweet
just thought i might as well pay a bit more for better since i dont have anything else planned to spend money on... and the only difference between my setup and astro is a different, better headset.
both still have the mixamp which makes it not just compatible with the headset but make audio quality infinitely times better.
trittons are a bit below astros, even the ax pro
