My friend has the x4s and I think they are a true cinematic experience in your head for the xbox 360.
I just wanted to know if the Turtle Beach x4s are the most expensive headset you can buy. Is there anything
that is better than Turtle Beach?
I was wondering because I was thinking of asking for them for Christmas because my regular ones always break about every month.

No and no.
The most expensive(gaming headset) you can buy are Astro A40's.
In package with the mixamp(which is highly recomended) they are about 250ish.
In terms of sound quality, design, durability, comfort they are top of the line.
But then come the Tritton AX Pro's which imo are the best bang for your buck.
Out of all these, including all of the Turtle Beach line, these are the only ones that give you true Dolby digital 5.1 surround sound.
They have great comfort, durability and the superb sound quality, not to forget the price which is around 150$, they can't be beat.
The only down side they have are all of the wires.
TB's are stereo, which means they are 2.1 and only simulate surround sound, Trittons do not.
And don't be fooled by their "7.1" no games or very few support it, and nobody has yet to master 7.1 and TB won't be the ones to do it lol.
Hope this helps, any other question or help you need, let me know.

The best ones are the X41's which are the upgrade to the x4's. I have reviewed them time after time cause I wanted to make sure they were the best and there is a video comparison on youtube showing you the the astro and Tritton are no match to turtle beaches. I'm getting them in January so I've been reviewing them.

I have X31's and love them and the 41s are a step up, I'd go with anything from Turtle Beach I've had mine for a while and haven't had a single problem and they are easy to hook up to the 360.
