ok so about 5 days ago, someguy gave me $31 in pounds, which was only 20 for him. (i dont have the euros sign, so i cant do it) anyways i check my paypal today, and its in red, BUT NOT NEGATIVE? it just shows it red, but no - sign next to the money.

anyways, i had like $27 before, but what happened to my paypal??
i did nothing wrong?

The person giving you 20, the transaction hasnt went through yet it says "Held" so its been prevented by something (him cancelling?) So you dont have the funds to cover your $20 transaction before. So you are in negative but could go back positive if/when the 20 goes into your account. Hope that helped? If it did i'd be thankfull of a rep:D

so even if he cancels, and i had $27 in there before, i will still be negative?
