Could not detect a flash controller, Help please Posted:

Hi guys, basically I am trying to jtag, and I have put the nand wires in (lpt) but not the jtag wires, When I run the nand pro commands it says testing 3 times then says 'could not detect a flash controller' what shall I do?
by the way, it says
Testing LPT device address: 0378
Testing LPT device address: 0278
Testing LPT device address: 03BC
Could not detect a flash controller!
Can not continue

The only thing it could be is bad soldering skills Take the wires off of the motherboard and re-solder them making sure that they have a good firm connection so you can read the nand.

He's right. If it doesn't detect it, then you must of made a mistake while soldering. For future reference, I'd buy the nand-x. LPT connectors take too long to read the nand. But with the nand-x, it reads the nand ridiculously fast.

Actually if hes running a x64 bit computer part of the driver needs to be removed for it work properly

Cheers mate, my soldering was fine i had to replace one of the .dll files and rename it for 64 bit windows, +repped!
