Yesterday I was using my jtag and it got red ringed. So I looked around YouTube and found this method called the penny method. It is where you replace the band aid like heat pads on the motherboar with new ones made of pennies and electrical tape. If you have no idea what I'm talking about go on YouTube and search "how to fix rrod (penny trick".
After I did this my jtag started to work. Do you think it was a permanent fix?

Goodjob on fixing your JTAG and i don't think it'll be a permenant fix but if it decides to break again retry the method and see.

Nice job but I don't think it's a permanent fix. I think it'll last at least like 6 months though.
