what can i do to fix this?... right now i put my xbox in a cool place were it can cool down.

I think your screwed.Either take it to a game store or find someone on ebay who does cheap send in repairs.

Normally just unplugging your console for a while and leaving it along where the ventilation holes are open on it can fix it. By a while I suggest about 2 - 3 hours so it can really cool down from it's high temperature. If that doesn't work then I suggest trying to send it back into Microsoft so you can get a replacement.
