Hp Compaq dc5700 microtower
intel pentium dual cpu
e2160 @ 1.80GHz
1.79 GHz, 0.99 GB of RAM

If i upgrade my ram to 2 GB will my computer be able to run things like cod and minecraft faster

No..not really. Games are GPU dependent. Your specs are outdated. I'd strongly consider building a new PC.
