lol, i had this happen in solo, i could post a vid but this kinda shows it already. Here is how it happened to me.

I was curious if I could take the astronaut to area 51. Well you can't. He just gets stuck on top of the teleporter and the cage drops on him. handy for a round or two without him but he eventually fell to the power and got back outside. So I killed him. Next round I see the lightning bolt in the biodome. Couple rounds later he still isnt out to me so I find him in the biodome doing the saturday night fever dance.

He never goes for you and it is best to leave him alone. If you approach he breaks the cycle and teleports you still but even so he still remains at that spot in the dome.

but i didn't have a gersch, nor did any of my QEDs replicate it's affects. I was outside when it spawned in the spot it dances in.
