I tried to restore my iPod Touch 2G yesterday, but after it was done it just stayed black. It seems like it is off, and nothing I try works. I put it in DFU mode and tried to restore it, but it gave me a error (1601). I tried holding the Power and Home buttons down to reset it but nothing happens. I kept it charging over night and still, no response.
Any idea how to get it working again?

use iReb to bypass the 16xx errors then you'll be able to restore

I tried that too, and it said it was ready for restore, but I still got the 1601 error.

This may seem like a pretty blunt idea but, Restore your IDevice, then Re Jailbreak.
Its happend to me too and this worked
