Ok.. So i bought this tricked out E-machine from a collage kid for 100 bucks. its a great computer, Its by no means cheap or noobish
Sadly the graphics card is out of date and it would seem its integrated graphics???
its a . Nividia Ge-Force 6100 or so. I need a new one. the computer supports Pci, and Pci express slots so thats of no concern. This is not my area of expertise.. (yet)
Need suggestions for a new card? and will it override the integrated one?

We need to know your budget and you need to check if your PSU will be able to power it.

Open the side of the case and see. Chances are, it's some low-end 200w crap. Meaning it's going to need to be replaced. Your case also has to have enough space and airflow - Some cards are 10''.

Space and airflow wont be a problem for sure. There are 3 different numbers on there.
240W
280W
300W max.

Even if it's 300w, it won't be enough for a half descent video card. The PSU's they put in pre-built PC's are complete trash to put it short. Tier 5 PSU's that'll either blow up under load or/and take your whole system with it.
Here's what I'd go for:
PSU - [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
5770 - [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
6850 - [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
