Man up, go out to lunch with her or something, talk to her, dont leave any stone unturned. tell her how you felt and talk about stuff, end everything right there, you dont have to be friends, but dont leave questions or anything that you might lose sleep over. If it helps fight the other kid, sometimes you honestly just need to release your stress. If you have to ride to the dance solo, do it. If your ex sees you there at least she knows your there doing your own thing. Man up, what my dad always said to me.

I'm sorry but it is really done. She was cruel for doing it over text. Even if she comes back asking to take her back, don't. do you really want someone who will treat you like that? just take some time for yourself. Give yourself time to grieve, talk to friends, take up a new hobby, and give yourself time to move on.

And if you don't want things to be done and I know I just saw you say your good friends with here best friend. Then,
In my opinion, if you still "love" her, just try to talk with her friends and see what's actually wrong and see if you can resolve it. If that doesn't work out, just don't think about her and go have fun with your friends, read a book, watch a movie, or play video games. Plus, there's a lot of other girls that will probably love to be with ya,so it's not the end of the world, if it doesn't work out.

And ifshe broke up with you via text message that says she doesn't have enough respect or care for you to do it in person. So no she doesn't love you. Now go out with your friends and get another girl and rub it in her face ;) nothing makes a girl more jealous than seeing you with someone else a couple days later.

And if all else fails get a h00ker.

You probably just aggravated her one day, or were ignoring to the point where she just lost interest in you and decided to you weren't the right one. Or it could just be she wasn't a very good choice if she decides to cheat with other guys.
